Paying for a tournament
What happens when a tournament has an entry fee: paying with credits, topping up your balance, and refunds.
Overview
Tournament entry fees are paid with credits — the same credits you buy from the host and use for their other activities. When a tournament has a fee, the join button becomes “Pay … credits to join” with the price shown, and your spot is confirmed the moment you pay.
The credits come from your balance with whoever runs the tournament. If you don't have enough, you can buy more right there. New to credits? See the Buying and using credits guide.
Paying to join
Tap Pay … credits to join.

Tap Pay.
The credits are taken from your balance and you're added to the tournament straight away.
Short on credits? Buy a package first.
If your balance is too low, the panel offers the seller's credit packages instead of the Pay button. Buy one by card, and as soon as the credits arrive you can pay.
If you see “We couldn't confirm your payment”, the payment may already have gone through. Tap Try again — trying again can never charge you twice.
Tournaments with organizer approval
If the organizer approves players, you have two options. Pay to join and you're in right away, without waiting for approval. Or tap Request to join to send a free request; once the organizer approves you, a “Pay entrance fee” button appears on the tournament page.
Other situations
- Added by the organizer — if the organizer added you without you paying, you'll see a “Pay entrance fee” button on the tournament page until you have.
- Joining late — once the tournament has started you can only send a request (if the organizer allows late participation). After you're accepted, you can pay.
- Joining as a team — each player pays their own fee. If your partner invited you but hasn't paid yet, you'll see that you're waiting for them to pay before you can accept.
Refunds
Entry fees are refunded as credits, back to your balance with the host — never to your card.

| The organizer removes you | Your fee is refunded to your credit balance automatically. |
| The tournament is deleted | Your fee is refunded to your credit balance automatically. |
| You leave the tournament yourself | There's no automatic refund. Ask the organizer — they can refund you. |
Refunds are always for the full fee and show up straight away under My credits. If you're refunded, you can pay again to rejoin.
Your payment history
Every entry fee you pay is listed in the history of your balance with that host: open My credits in your dashboard and tap History. You also get an email confirmation for each payment.
