What is ladder tournament?

Compete in a ladder and move up or down based on your performance. Each player can challenge other players in the ladder and if you win, you will move up the ladder.

Rules for ladder

These are general rules for ladder tournaments. The rules can be altered by the organizer to suit the needs of the tournament.

• Each team can only have one challenge ongoing at the same time.
• If you are placed below the opponent and win, you will take the opponents place in the the ladder.
• If the opponent loses and are placed below the challenger, the opponent will drop down one place.
• If you are placed above the opponent and win, you will stay in the same place.
• Each challenge grants both teams a set of activity points.
• Win streak bonuses are awarded to players who has won more than 3 matches in a row.

How do you score?

In a ladder challenge you play a match and score using the standard 15, 30, 40 and game.

• Each match is played for best of 3 sets.
• A set is won when one team has won 6 games and is at least 2 games ahead.
• If the set is 5-5, two more game have to be played.
• If the set is 6-6, a tiebreaker is played to 7 points.

How does ladder challenge work?

A challenge is a match between two teams in the ladder.

• The challenge is initiated by the challenger and the opponent has to to accept or decline the challenge before the suggested date has passed.
• If the opponent fails to respond in time, the challenger will automatically win the match by walkover
• Challenge must containt at least one date and time suggestion for the opponent to choose from.
• If the suggested date is not suitable, the opponent can suggest a new date and time.
• The opponent can decline the challenge without any penalty.
• If the opponent accepts the challenge, a match will be played on the suggested date.

How to organize a ladder tournament?

Setting up a ladder tournament is easy. You need at least 4 participants and a leauge in place. Follow the points below to get started.

• A league must be created before setting up a ladder tournament, this can be done in the app.
• Participants must join the league before they can join the ladder.
• Teams are set up by the members of the league themselves.
• Members will have to to request other members to team up to join ladder.
• A team can be changed later on, but only if the other teammate agrees.
• Challenging each other in the ladder can start when the organizer has given the green light.
